The SOMD Kids' Expo and Women's Show
April 28th ... Don't Miss It!
Southern Maryland women, moms and businesses are all a buzz about the SOMD Kids Expo and Women's Show! The event is a first of its kind in Southern Maryland and will be held on 4/28 from 10AM to 3PM at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center in Californial. The Show is FREE for attendees and the first 250 ladies will receive a show swag bag full of surprises!
The Kids Expo and Women's Show is a showcase of tri-county businesses (brick and mortar and home based), vendors, non profits and service providers offering products, resources and services that cater to YOU ... the lovely women and moms of Southern Maryland. Here's a sneak peek at the growing Kids' Expo exhibitor list just for moms:
Leprechaun Lilly's, Discovery Toys, Macaroni Kid (free crafts for kids), Cranial Cradle Mattresses, Nanny on Call, The Chick-fil-A Cow, Wilson Innis Clubhouse, Bay Montessori School of Lexington Park, St. Mary's Ryken -- Summer Knights Camp Programs, Hao Orthodontics, The Bay District Volunteer Fire Department and Sparky the Dog (tours of the firetruck and fire safety), Courage to Birth, JLA Boutique, Adorned Embellishments, Zumbatomic with Robyn Butcher, Historic St. Mary's City and their colonial games, and more! In addition to the variety of exhibitors in both venues (Kids' Expo and Women's Show), guests of the event can partake in an assortment of special classes and demos. On the schedule for a great ladies' day (check back for updates): fitness demos, demos with Evolve Yoga and Wellness, a fashion show by Dressbarn, a couponing class by The Girl Loves Coupons, Erin Ross State Farm Insurance presents The Joy of Creating Wealth as a Woman, on-site health screenings by Health Connections, massage therapy, a workshop on legal services every woman can afford with Legal Shield, Q and A with design pros Southern Maryland Kitchen and Baths and Lola Belle Co., on-site child care with Nanny On Call (reservations required, click here), appearances by the Chick-fil-A Cow and Macaroni Mama and hands-on crafts for the kids.
Of note, is their call for volunteers and models! Fashion partner Dressbarn is calling for older teens, military moms, misses and womens sized models (no prior experince necessary). Email [email protected] with Model Call in the subject line. Or if the cat walk is not your thing, spend a few hours as an Expo volunteer, there are many jobs that need a willing helper! Email: [email protected] with Volunteer in the subject line.
