Friday, May 18 through Monday, October 8 - Fairies and Gnomes in the Garden

3rd annual magicalicious exhibit of Fairies in the Garden!  More than 50 fairy houses and gnome homes scattered throughout the Sculpture Garden.  Every nook and cranny of the garden will shelter a home.  The houses will be displayed indoors on May 11 and will then be placed outside.  Join the fun on 5/18 for a special After Hours Reception (all ages welcome)  6pm to 9PM.    Exhibit runs through 10/8

Saturday, May 19 - Leonardtown Great Strides Event to Benefit Cystic Fibrosis Found.

A 5K Walk is to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Enjoy great BBQ, music, face painting, balloons and plenty of family fun!  Rain or shine!  Register in advance (see below) or on the day of the event at 8:30AM.  Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive tract of approximately 30,000 children and adults in the US.  About one in every 31 Americans are carriers of the CF gene, but do not have the disease.  5/19

Exciting BMX sport races.  Riders are required to have a 20" bike for open class or 24" for Cruiser class.  Must wear a helmet, long pants and long sleeve shirt in order to race.  Or just come out to the track to check it out.  BMX birthday parties are also a unique alternative.  Sundays through 11/25

Sunday, May 20 - The Hershey Track and Field Youth Program

The Hershey Track and Field Games are coming to St. Mary's County!  This is an invitational track meet.  Registration from noon to 1PM day of event.  Birth certificates required for proof of age.  Kids may enter at least one fireld event and two track events   OR   two field events and one track event.  No spikes allowed!  Every competitor receives a ribbon and certificate.  5/20
